The Palm Jumeirah’s flagship resort, the Atlantis Hotel, opened its doors on September 24, 2008, offering its guests a luxurious oceanic experience of world class proportions.
For the next few months, newly booked Business Class and First Class Emirates Airlines passengers traveling to or via Dubai will receive a complimentary stay at this $1.5 billion resort.
According to the Gulf News report of September 25, 2008 entitled “Emirates Offers ‘Free Stay at Atlantis, Emirates airlines have just announced, in partnership with the resort, a special offer of free accommodation in this lavish Oceanic-themed resort, based on the Lost City of Atlantis.
First class passenger can enjoy a complimentary 2-night stay, whilst Business class passengers can stay 1-night, for as long as the offer lasts. Accommodation is on a bed and breakfast basis.
The Atlantis Hotel, Dubai
The Atlantis Hotel is Dubai’s newest attraction. The 113-acre resort is build on the atrificil island in the shape of a palm tree, the Palm Jumeirah. It boasts an aquatic theme park with dolphinarium, thrilling water rides and a series of underground tunnels offering guests fascinating underwater views, called The Lost Chambers”
The Gulf News quotes Keith Longstaff, Emirates' Divisional Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations Worldwide as saying "We are delighted to offer our First and Business Class customers this exceptional opportunity to be amongst the first to experience the world-class facilities at Atlantis.”
According to the article "Emirates Offers Customers Complimentary Stays at Atlantis" from the Dubai City Guide, Emirates offers a free stay at the Atlantis Hotel to new passenger bookings on Emirates flights from October 4 – December 24, 2008.
Some terms and conditions apply. This special Emirates offer is based on a double or single room and must be pre-booked with the airline.. However, this excludes 6 days during November (18th – 23rd) when the Atlantis is hosting a lavish opening party and accommodating its many party guests.
Atlantis Hotel Opening Party
The Atlantis Hotel will host a spectacular opening party on November 20, 2008 which included a 1-hour performance from pop icon Kylie Minogue. The $32,000 private party will be attended by around 2,000 high profile guests from politicians, musicians, sportsmen and women and others in the entertainment industry.
An extravagant firework display is also planned and a dinner which has been designed by 4 Michelin-stared chefs.
The Atlantis Hotel, Bahamas
